ATLANTIC WINES Imports " Specials" : Chip's Selections -

     We will run some Daily " and  " Weekly " Specials : sometimes for everyday and sometimes for splurges and even sometimes to be stored and drunk at a much later date. Here are a few from Chip that we like a whole lot.

     FOR EVERDAY :

       1) CHATEAU FELICE  " London Cab " Russian River CA. 2005 is drinking beautifully now and there are perhaps five or cases left now. We used to sell it for $14.49 and now it's    ON SALE for $11.99.      It's more of an old-world style with great earth, spice, a lovely rustic quality where the wine benefits from food and has a nice grip/grit to it that lingers and lasts and stays with the palate.

       2)  CAMELLIA CELLARS 2004 Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma, CA. is also a beauty and from a fine vintage and will all this extra age it is a great wine to enjoy with a meal as there is so much of it : the taste is multi-layered and works on so many levels of the palate from the highs to the lows that it really has to be enjoyed with friends over the course of a meal without feeling rushed. It sells for $19.99 a bottle and there are less than five cases. We sell it for $20 a bottle and it's now    ON SALE for $14.99 a bottle.

       3)  BODEGAS Y VINEDOS MURCIA 2005 " Pico Madama " dry red from Jumilla is a  great representation of this area Jumilla that for so long made big, alcoholic reds. Now there are some fabulous bottles that world-class like this highly " Parkerized " bottle. It's  regularly $40.99 a bottle and    ON SALE for $29.99.      We have ten six-packs available. 

       4)  RIOJA ALTA ( Rioja ) 2001 Gran Familia Reserva is another wonderful Spanish Tempranillo to enjoy now as it both comes from a great vintage ( 2001 ) and has been properly stored and aged and the price has gone down for the last five cases. It used to sell for $21.99 a bottle and is now     ON SALE for $17.99.      So if you are a big Rioja fan don't delay!

     ALL these selections have some bottle age and may be enjoyed now. They may also be cellared for a bit longer. They have for the most part reached their plateau and are holding their balance and brilliance of flavors in harmony and working together in true harmony.
